Why they called us
The homeowners called in early summer with two things they wanted from a new fence: room for the dog to run, and a barrier between the yard and the pond behind their lot in the Lincoln Park subdivision, without losing the view of that water from the deck.
A scalloped vinyl picket line solved both. It gives the dog a boundary he respects and keeps two young kids from wandering past it, while the open gaps between pickets keep the pond in view instead of walling it off.

What got in the way
Sun-baked clay hard enough to stall a hand auger
We swapped to a skid-steer mounted auger for the whole run, which kept every hole plumb and on depth without beating up the crew or the lawn.
The old fence line was buried in brush wrapped through with poison ivy
The crew cleared and hauled the brush out in protective gear before layout, so nothing came back through the new fence line.
